A photographic salute to the Jew-
ish War Veterans of Michigan will
be on display at Temple Israel
throughout the month of June.
The exhibit will include photos of
all Jewish soldiers from the De-
troit area from World War II.
Recognition of the debt we
owe as a society to our veterans
will take place during Sabbath
services on Friday, June 22,
when members of the Michigan
Region Jewish War Veterans
and the Ladies Auxiliary will
gather.

Couples Club
Installs Slate

The Couples Club of Temple Is-
rael will hold its installation of of-
ficers at a Havdalah service
dinner on Saturday evening, June
1, at 7:30 p.m. This social evening
will take place at the home of
Eileen and Jerry Isenberg.
The slate of officers to be in-
stalled is: Sue and Marc An-
drews, presidents; Laurie and
Mark Blinder, vice presidents
program; Michelle and Eliot
Globerson, vice presidents mem-
bership; Donna and Stuart Berg-
er, treasurers; Elissa and Danny
Kline, corresponding secretaries;
Kym and Michael Kay, record-
ing secretaries; Donna and
Richard Brown, immediate past
presidents.

The Jewish Genealogical Society
of Michigan will hold its next
regular meeting on Thursday,
June 6, in the library of Temple
Beth-El (Telegraph at 14 Mile)
beginning at 7:25 p.m.
The speaker will be Patricia
Pilling. Dr. Piling's presentation,
titled "Save and Share your
Memories," will include tips on
how to take oral histories and
how to preserve old photographs
and documents. A member of the
JGSM, Dr. Pilling has conduct-
ed over 60 workshops on these
subjects. Elections ofJGSM offi-
cers for the upcoming program
year also will be held at this
meeting.
Meetings of the JGSM are
free, and are open to all who are
interested or potentially inter-
ested in finding their Jewish
roots. Membership information
will be provided. For information,
