Conservative
Group Elects Board
The United Synagogue of Con-
servative Judaism, Michigan Re-
gion, wilt hold its annual meeting
on Sunday, June 9, 10:30 a.m. at
Congregation Adat Shalom.
There will be elections for the ex-
ecutive committee and the board
of directors.
The slate for the executive
board includes: president, Larry
Rockind (Congregation Adat
Shalom); vice presidents, Paula
Glazier (Congregation Shaarey
Zedek), Franklin Levy (Congre-
gation Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses) and Marjorie Saulson
(Congregation Shaarey Zedek);
treasurer, Gloria Ellis (Congre-
gation Beth Shalom).
Nominations for the board at
large include Marilyn Sternberg
(Congregation Beth Shalom),
Beth Cook (Congregation Am
Yachad) and Pearlena Bodzin
(Congregation B'nai Moshe). All
congregational presidents are au-
tomatically board members, as
are past presidents of the region:
Leonard Baron, Sanford Eichen-
horn, Larry Lando, Irving
Lopatin, Myron Milgrom, Asher
Tilchin and immediate past pres-
ident Sharlene Ungar. Rabbi Efry
Spectre of Adat Shalom will in-
stall Mr. Rockind as president.
Also at the meeting, Ms. Sar-
rae Crane, director of special pro-
jects for the United Synagogue of
Conservative Judaism, will speak
on its Jewish Living Now cam-
paign. Jewish Living Now is a
program to increase Jewish com-
mitment and knowledge.
The meeting will begin with
brunch at 10:30 a.m. and will con-
clude at 1 p.m. To respond or for
