Teens Prepare
For Mission
The Agency for Jewish Education
will offer a Hebrew preparation
tape, "Ivrit L'noar" (Hebrew for
Teens), to give Miracle Mission
for Teens participants a taste of
the language before their five-
week Israel summer experience.
The cassette, prepared by Nira
Lev, director of the Hebrew In-
teractive Learning Center of the
AJE, contains basic Hebrew
words and phrases, ranging from
introductions to ordering dinner,
which will be extremely useful
throughout the teens' trip. It is of-
fered as a convenient way for the
teens to continue learning the He-
brew from their AJE preparato-
ry course guide. The tape is
available through the AJE at no
cost. For information, Mission
participants should contact Rob
Nosanchuk at the AJE, (810) 354-
1050.
As an additional preparatory
resource, teens are encouraged to
explore the Internet for Israel-re-
lated materials including current
news updates and Jewish pen-pal
services. For a listing of Israel
Web Sites, teens should call Rob
Nosanchuk or Jeff Kaye, com-
munity shaliach at the Michigan
Israel connection, (810) 645-7878;
or miconn@jfind.org .
