Have You Had Big Daddy's Tommy Salad Yet?
!t1
Or Our Fabulous Lamb Chops?

Chicken salad, shrimp salad
and tuna salad are all made in
the La Fendi kitchen.
No. 1 fish seller is the white-
fish filet topped with special sea-
sonings and oven-broiled over an
open flame ... Other big-selling
whitefish preparations are the
whole whitefish broiled and
topped with onions, tomatoes,
green onions, almonds and
raisins ... and fish curry white-
fish filet baked and topped with
a special salsa of onions, parsley,
tomatoes, curry seasoning, gar-
lic and lemon juice.
Top lamb favorite is the kuzy,
tender baby lamb, roasted with
special seasonings and served
with rice, almonds, raisins and
sweet peas ... Most-asked-for beef
preparation is La Fendi's shish
kabob (tikka), chunks of char-
broiled tenderloin beef, served
with grilled tomatoes, bell pep-
pers, onions and rice ... a peren-
nial asked-for dish in Middle
Eastern dining.
In the chicken realm, none get
more requests than La Fendi's
chicken kebob and chicken
shawarma (gus) ... both thinly
sliced, seasoned and broiled.
And there are also American
influences in its cooking ... with
chil-frys (chunks fried in oil) of
either tenderloin beef or white
meat chicken sauteed with green
peppers, onions and mushrooms;
baby-back ribs, bar-b-q chicken,
ribs-and-chicken combinations,
beef cutlets sauteed with sliced

Authentic taste of
the Middle East.

tomatoes, onions, mushrooms
and special seasonings ... Even
cheeseburgers and hamburgers
plus a pita burger of 1/2 pound
charbroiled beef topped with
cheddar cheese and served on
pita bread.
The food at La Fendi seems to
have a distinction all its own ...
reasonably priced and served on
white linen tablecloths centered
with gold doilies and accompa-
nied by light green linen napkins.
Middle Eastern food is a big
promoter of healthy dining ... and
amid an old-country atmosphere,
La Fendi is a standout with its
methods of preparation ... Every-
thing is homemade ... Lentil soup
is served daily ... Others like
hicken rice, chicken noodle, veg-
etable, etc., alternate as soups of
the day.
Only vegetable oil is used ... no
salt, and low-fat ingredients, in-
cluding many from natural
sauces ... No such thing as frozen
meats or vegetables ... Every-
thing is bought daily ... and most
are cooked to order ... Noth-
ing is prepared and warmed up
as could be the case at other such
restaurants.

This very colorful and bustling
Middle Eastern dining spot has
captured the taste-bud hearts of
many ... The enthusiasm of its
three brothers, Raad, Tom and
Kamal, is always apparent ...
And it is most assuring knowing
that a family member is there at
all times.
La Fendi is open seven days
... Sundays-Thursdays, 11 a.m.
to 1 a.m.; Fridays and Saturdays,
11 a.m. to 2 a.m.
It has become a favorite meet-
ing place after the theater for
Middle Eastern stuffed grape
leaves or whatever in the large
menu of over 100 items.
The wide bevy of juices and ex-
otic juice cocktail combinations
prepared at a separate juice bar
is an every-hour standout.
The Lebanese style of food
preparation by La Fendi, to-
gether with its ultra cleanliness,
fine service and striking atmos-
phere, make it a first-choice se-
lection among many.
Almost from the very begin-
ning, La Fendi was a good place
to go ... But what it has accom-
plished in just three years is lit-
tle short of spectacular.
Owners Raad and Tom say
this birthday celebration is just
a prelude to even greater things
to come ... More original menu
items are being worked on and
decor improvements are always
looked for in the enhancement of
La Fendi's continuous growth
reputation as a No. 1 Middle
Eastern restaurant.

1993. Medium-to-full-bodied, this

like fruit and a gentle amount of
spice that pairs it well with such
dishes as spicy pastas and stir-
frys while being hearty enough
to stand up to a juicy filet mignon.
