"Health Wise" is a presentation
set for Tuesday, March 18, at
1 p.m. at the JPM JCC by Nurse
Sharon Tomaszewski of the
Oakland County Public Health
Division. She will discuss over-
all self-care and communicating
health needs to doctors. There
is no charge.
Charles & Frances Driker
Fund Concert is set for Thurs-
day, March 21, at 1 p.m. with pi-
anist Adel Kozadayev and
vocalist Galina Feldman.
The Men's Center Forum,
which normally met on Thurs-
day at 10:30 a.m. to noon to dis-
cuss current event topics, is
undergoing changes. It will ex-
pand to include women and
would like ideas for names, top-
ics, etc. Call Marci Markowitz,
967-4030, with suggestions.

CHaZaKaH, the Adat Shalom
seniors group, has planned a
paid-up membership luncheon
and program for Thursday,
March 28, at the synagogue.
The afternoon, which will be-
gin at 12:30 p.m., will feature
artist and art authority Esther
Tarnoff Cooper. Under the aus-
pices of the Speakers Bureau of
the Detroit Institute of Arts, Ms.
Cooper will present a program
on "Magic & Superstitions in Ju-
daism — a Slide-Show Adven-
ture in Jewish Art."
There is no charge for this
event, but one must be a mem-
ber of CHaZaKaH in order to at-
tend; and reservations are
required by March 22. CHaZa-
KaH 1996 dues are $5.
To attend, send a 1996 dues

indicate joining the seniors at
the March program. Those with

The Agency for Jewish Educa-
tion seeks children in grades K-
12 in the Metropolitan Detroit
Jewish community who wish to
create a mizrach of their own de-
sign for a special art exhibit to
be held at the community-wide
Incredible Israel Fest, Sunday,
June 2, at the Maple-Drake
Jewish Community Center.
A mizrach is a decorative wall
hanging which contains the He- _/
brew word "mizrach" meaning
east. It is hung on the eastern
wall of a Jewish home or build-
ing facing Jerusalem.
