Quartet Plays
In Arts Series

A group from Congregation B'nai
Moshe will gather on Sunday,
March 24, at 8 p.m. at West
Bloomfield High School for a mu-
sical program.
"Music of Sephardic Jewry,"
featuring the artistry of Voice of
the Turtle, is a part of the JCC's
Encore Arts Series. The Voice of
the Turtle is a quartet of musi-
cians and ethno-musicologists
based in Boston.
Guests are welcome. There are
special ticket prices for the B'nai
Moshe group.

Holds Elections

Marshall-Israel Chapter, Jewish

Detroit Chapter, will present two
speakers on Wednesday, April
17, at the Bloomfield Library,
1099 Lone Pine Road, Bloomfield
Hills from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Brunch buffet will be served.
Dr. James Mandrell, associate
professor of Spanish and com-
parative literature at Brandeis
University, will speak on the "50s
flipside: American Popular Cul-
ture in the Academy."
Esther Tarnoff Cooper, of the
Speakers Bureau, Detroit Insti-
tute of Arts, will give a slide pre-
sentation on "Magic and
Superstition In Judaism."
The charge for the day, in-
