Humorist-pantomimist Hy
Shenkman will serve as master
of ceremonies and past president
of the ZOA, Anne Gonte Silver,
will chair the program. Purim re-
freshments will be available and
admission is free.
A native New Yorker, Penny
Steyer is a graduate from the
University of Miami with a de-
gree in music education. She is
serving as choir director at Tem-
ple Shir Shalom.

Plans Lectures
Congregation Bais Chabad of
Farmington Hills will sponsor a
lecture on Wednesday night,
March 13, at 8 p.m. The rabbi of
Larlispoli, Italy, Rabbi Hirsh Ra-
biski, will speak on "The True
Meaning of Freedom," in Russ-
ian and Yiddish at the shul.
Congregation Bais Chabad of
Farmington Hills will host a
brunch and learn on Sunday
morning, March 17, at 10 a.m.
Dr. Sheldon Stoffer will give a
talk on "The Danger of So-Called
Generic Equivalents which Of-
ten Times Aren't Equivalent," at
the shul.
