Temple Kol Ami Sisterhood will
have its annual Sisterhood Shab-
bat Dinner and Service on Friday,
March 8, at 6 p.m. at the temple.
Members of the sisterhood will
lead the service which is dedicat-
ed to the memory of Sisterhood
Past President Gail Cohen.
The guest speaker will be
Rabbi Marla Feldman, assistant
director for Domestic Concerns
of the Jewish Community Coun-
cil. Rabbi Feldman also is a
lawyer and author of articles
dealing with social and econom-
ic issues. She will host a discus-
sion on a relevent Jewish topic
and answer questions following
the service.
Reservations are necessary for
the dinner. The service begins

The normal deadline for local news
and publicity items is noon Thursday,
eight days prior to issue date. The
deadline for birth announcements is
10 a.m. Monday, four days prior to is-
sue date; out-of-town obituaries, 10
am. Tuesday, three days prior to issue

Dance, Seminar

Hillel of Metro Detroit and Adat
Shalom will host a costume
Purim Ball on Saturday, March

At Oakland University on
Wednesday, March 6, part five
of the Science and Religion Sem-
inar will be at noon in Oakland
Center Fireside Lounge. The
topic is "Biological Revolution-
Theological Impact."

Elderhostel
Program Series

B'nai B'rith Beber Camp will of-
fer another series of Elderhos-
tel programs for adults aged 55
and above this spring at the
Perlman Leadership Village in
Mukwonago, Wis. Each Elder-
hostel program features three
university- level courses, taught
by experienced faculty. Each is
an international program for se-
nior adults which combines
learning with travel and social
activities.
The Perlman Leadership Vil-
lage of Beber Camp is 40 min-
utes from Milwaukee and less
than two hours from downtown
Chicago. The cost of $330 in-
cludes double occupancy rooms
with private baths, linens,
kosher meals, course materials,
and extracurricular activities for
the six-day, five-night program:
Programs are offered quarterly
throughout the year.

sponsor a Health and Consumer
Education program on Senior
Housing Options on Thursday,
