JPM Hosts
Concert, Services
A Purim Concert with Ellen
Sandweiss Hodges accompanied
by Barbara Ritter, will be Tues-
day, March 5, at 1 p.m. at the
JPM JCC. This concert is spon-
sored by the Boaz Siegel Culture
Fund. Purim refreshments will
be served. There is no charge.

Folk Dancers

On Sunday, March 10, at 12:45
p.m. at Temple Beth El, the
Loren B. Fischer Cultural Arts
Series for Children and Their
Families will close its sixth sea-
son with the Hora Aviv Israeli
Folkdance Troupe.
Composed of men and women
from a variety of backgrounds,
the troupe projects Israel's his-
tory and tradition through dances
representing the diverse people
who are its citizens.
The performance is open to the
community without charge.
Dr. Reinharz
Gives Lecture
The Cohn-Haddow Center for Ju-
daic Studies at Wayne State Uni-
versity and Congregation
Shaarey Zedek will present a lec-
ture by Jehuda Reinharz, presi-
dent of Brandeis University, on
"Chaim Weizmann, Statesman
with a State, " on Sunday March
10, at 2 p.m., at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek B'nai Israel Cen-
ter, 4200 Walnut Lake Rd., West
Bloomfield. The lecture is free
and open to the public.
Dr. Reinharz was the first pro-
fessor of Jewish history and di-
rector of the program in Judaic
Studies in the Department of
History at the University of
Michigan. In 1982 he returned to
Brandeis University as Richard
Koret Professor of Modern Jew-
ish History, and in 1994 he be-
came president. Dr. Reinharz is
the author/editor of 19 books and
more than 80 articles.
