Gemini Sings
At The JPM

Gemini will perform songs cele-
brating the fun, warmth and hu-
mor of family life at an
inter-generational family concert
celebrating the tree planting hol-
iday of Tu B'Shevat on Sunday,
Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Jewish Commu-
nity Center.
Tickets may be purchased at

Ticket prices for members are:
adults $5 and children $4; non-
members: adults $6 and children
$5. There is also a family maxi-

HMC Elects
New Officers

Saul Waldman was elected pres-
ident of the Holocaust Memorial
Center at the annual meeting.
The executive committee elected
Gustav Berenholtz to be chair-
man of the committee.
Other executive committee
members who were elected are
vice presidents, Lawrence S.
Jackier, Alexander Karp, and
Abraham Weberman; treasurer,
Dr. Steven D. Grant; and mem-

Machon L'Torah, the Jewish
Learning Network of Michigan,
will hold its next Jewish history
lecture series on Saturday, Jan.
20-, at 9 p.m. at Machon. The lec-
ture will be presented by Rabbi
Shmuel Irons, dean, Kollel Insti-
tute of Greater. Detroit, on "The
Mishna."
Lectures will be given every
other Saturday evening at 9 p.m.

opening of the Jewish Resource

Mr. and Mrs. Sholom Hamada.
The new center at the Universi-

Parenting Tips
Are Offered

Temple Emanu-El will host
Shalom Bayit, Peace Within the
Home, for parents of 4-7th
graders. This two-part series will
focus on parenting tips for main-
taining a peaceful and positive
household.
Shalom Bayit is scheduled for
Sundays, Jan. 21 and 28 at Tem-
ple Emanu-El, from 9:30-11:20
a.m. Participants will explore cre-
ative strategies for healthy par-
enting, examine Jewish
parenting sources and discuss rel-
evant issues with specialists in
the field; Gary Faber, deputy su-
perintendent of West Bloomfield
schools; Sandra Faber, associate
principal at Andover High SchooL
Breakfast also will be served.
