Beau Jack's, It's been open since
1976 and considered the favorite din-
ing and watering spot by many people.
They are considered like members of the
family by Gary and dad Jack Cochran,
who owned the Westerner Beef Buffet
on the same site before turning it into the
casual Beau Jack's where people know
each other and enjoy the camaraderie
of the restaurant's family-type operation.

Holiday Inn of Bloomfield Hills,
1801 S. Telegraph, Bloomfield Hills,
810.334-2444. Plus being a popular
hotel in a sector of Michigan that has re-
ceived nation-wide note, it's restaurant,
The Steak Out, is also drawing customer
raves. Chicken Jerusalem is a featured
item (boneless breast sauteed with mush-
rooms, artichokes, white wine and a
light cream) along with homemade soups
and fresh crisp salads. The tender and
juicy steaks are prepared daily. Break-
fast is served 6:30 a.m. - II a.m.; lunch
1 1 a.m. - 2 p.m.; dinner 5:30 p.m. -
I0 p.m. Its highlyqualified catering staff
is well versed on bar mitzvahs, bat mitz-
vahs, weddings, etc.

Steve's Deli, 6646 Telegraph Rd. at
Maple, Bloomfield Plaza, 932-0800.
It's slogan "A little but of New York right
here in Bloomfield Hills," is indicative of
the recently opened delicatessen that
has been receiving much applause. Fea-
tured are the old-time deli pastrami of
yesteryears, hot, steamy corned beef,
homemade pastries, Rominik brownies,
apple strudel and seven layer cake. Din-
ing in is amid a comfortable, intimate at-
mosphere, and carry-out is available
of any item on the menu. Great pride is
placed on Steve's tray catering.

DETROIT

Lelli's, 7618 Woodward Ave., De-
troit, 871-1590. Since 1939, Lelli's has
been a Detroit dining tradition, .serving
Italian favorites at their best. As years be-
fore, it is again a 7-dayo-week favorite,
open Sundays 12 noon to 8 p.m. Lelli's
has always been noted for its big
amounts of food, but it is with the times
in also offering a light side menu which
has become so very popular.
