Holiday Food

The USY chapter of Congrega-
tion B'nai Moshe will cook holi-
day foods on Tuesday, Dec. 19,
at the synagogue from 5-8 p.m.

are invited to attend.

Michigan BBYO
Slates Events

The planning for Michigan Re-
gion BBYO Regional Convention
is under way. Most of the con-
vention will be held at the Maple-
Drake JCC, Dec. 24-28.The event
is a five-day program focusing
on friendly competition and
region unit. The evening pro-
grams are Sunday, Bowling and
Messy Dance at Drakeshire
Lanes; Monday, Sports Night
with swimming, track and aero-
bic competition at the JCC; Tues-
day, Talent Show at Con-
gregation Shaarey Zedek;
Wednesday, Dressy Dance at
Congregation Beth Abraham
Hillel Moses; Thursday after-
noon, Awards Ceremony at 2
p.m. at the JCC. For information,
contact chapter presidents or the
BBYO chapter Service Center.
BBG is planning an aerobics
program called Mind, Body At-
titude (MBA) League which will
run Sundays, Jan. 14-April 7, 3-
4 p.m. at Maple-Drake JCC. The
coordinator for the league is
Alana Zaks of Ahava BBG.
There will be five weeks of aero-
bics and five weeks of water aer-
obics and will include extra time
to use equipment in the health
club as well as special guest
speakers on health and teen is-
sues. For applications, contact
BBG chapter presidents or the
BBYO chapter Service Center.

Ann Arbor Teen Connection
will hold an Intergenerational
Chanukah Party at the Ann Ar-
bor Jewish Community Center
on Sunday, Dec. 17, from 3-5 p.m.
this is a joint program of Teen
Connection and the JCC Seniors.
There will be a game of Jeopardy,
making latkes and lighting can-
dles for the first night of
Chanukah. The event is free. Ann
Arbor Teen Connection is open to
all 6th through 8th graders. For

bor Teen Connection Coordina-

Publicity Deadlines

The normal deadline for local news and
publicity items is noon Thursday, eight
days prior to issue date. The deadline for
birth announcements is 10 a.m. Monday,
four days prior to issue date; out-of-town
obituaries, I0 a.m. Tuesday, three days
prior to issue date.
