winter leadership weekends.

will chair the Senior Getaway
Weekend to be held at the BBYO
Milan Conference Center, Jan.
26-28. Andrew Ceifetz, Kishon
AZA, Ben Salba, Jolson AZA,
Leslie Zack, Ahava BBG, and
Amy Zimmerman of Ruach BBG
are the chairs for the two Young
Leadership Conclaves which will
be held at the Milan Conference
Center on Feb. 2-4 and on Feb.

The BBYO Kickoff Dance will

p.m. at the West Bloomfield Jew-
ish Community Center. There is

Hold Institute
Claudia Shear, Broadway actress
and author of Blown Sideways
Through Life, will speak at the
third annual Institute for Single
Jewish Mothers conference sched-
uled for Sunday, Oct. 22, at the
Maple-Drake Jewish Communi-
ty Center from 1-4 p.m. Ms. Shear
will discuss the issues of perse-
verance and humor during her
keynote address at this commu-
nity-wide, free event.
The program will also include
workshops by Dr. Neil Kalter,
author of Growing Up With Di-
vorce; and Jo Bruce, profession-
al trainer/speaker/consultant. In
addition, there will be a panel on
"Spiritual Survival for You and
Your Family," a community re-
source exhibit for single Jewish
mothers and their families, and
free child care.
