When you call Countrywide's Branch Managers in our Detroit
area offices, you get people with local authority to say "OK"
and expedite processing, approval and funding of your loan
locally. We also offer an aggressive product line — fixed-rates,
adjustables, FHA/VA, jumbos, even balloons — and House
America our low-to-moderate income program for first time
buyers and others who might not have qualified in the past.
With Countrywide's Lock N' Shop;" you can house hunt with
confidence knowing your rate is guaranteed. The rate can't go
up, could even go down. And best of all, there are no extra
points or fees for this guarantee.

"The role the DDA would like
to play is a nurturing role. We
spawned this entity, we're proud
of it, but we don't think we should
have ownership of its whole life,"
said Michele Hodges, executive
director of the DDA.
"The ultimate goal of the DDA
is to have the theater be a thriv-
ing location which will attract
people at all hours. Typically, in
Southfield, we empty out at 5
p.m. We want to get people down
here in the evening."
Providence Hospital has for-
given yearly lease payments of
S10,975 for the last two years.
`They've been very supportive,"
said Ms. Hodges. "Because it's of
a quasi-public nature, they're in-
terested in being good, commu-
nity- minded people."
Mr. Nahan said the Millenium,

won't launch its own production
company, because the "income
stream" from rental rates "is too
important for the long-term suc-
cess of this theater." He added
that the rates, which include the
use of all technical equipment are
"a steal." The weekly rate is
$6,000.
But the Millenium's technical
director and Mr. Nahan will con-
tinue to help other theater com-
panies with their productions.
Upcoming at the theater is a
short run of Dance Nonce, a
Grosse Pointe-based modern
dance company that will perform
from Oct. 13 to 15. The rest of
October will feature Finally Made
\_ It, a play by the Upon This Rock
theater company. ED
