Drescher-Solomon

Virginia Shade Drescher, daugh-
ter of Dr. Victor S. and Kathleen
Shade Drescher of Kittanning,
Pa, recently married Dr. Edward
Alan Solomon, son of William
and Lorraine F. Solomon of West
Bloomfield. Rabbi Paul M. Wed-
wab of Temple Israel officiated
at Bay Pointe Country Club in
West Bloomfield.
The couple met at Michigan
State University, where the
groom earned his medical degree
and the bride recently complet-
ed her second master's degree.
The groom is a resident physician
specializing in diagnostic radiol-
ogy at Garden City Osteopathic
hospital. The bride is pursuing a
career in technical marketing.
She and has kept her maiden

name.
The honor attendants were
Crystal Drescher Layton, sister
of the bride, and Joel Hersh. The
ketubah witnesses were Enid
Solomon, sister of the groom, and
Howard Failer. The wedding
party also included Sarah
Drescher, sister of the bride, and
Sander Cohen, cousin of the
groom. The ringbearer was
Michael Drescher, cousin of the
bride.
The couple also were honored
by the participation of the bride's
grandparents, Mildred and Vic-
tor H. Drescher and Hazel Devitt
Shade.
Following a honeymoon cruise
to Alaska, the couple reside in
Westland.

Flashner-Gitlin

Michael Flashner and Julie
Gitlin were recently married at
the Skyline Club. Rabbi Sherwin
Wine officiated. Michael is the
son of Barbara and Ira Flashner
of West Bloomfield. Julie is the
daughter of Roslyn and Kenneth
Gitlin of Bloomfield Hills.
Tarin Gitlin, sister of the bride,
was the maid of honor. Kirk
Flashner, brother of the groom,
was the best man. Groomsmen

were Jason Gitlin, brother of the
bride; Josh Gitlin, brother of the
bride; and Ian Flashner, brother
of the groom.
Also participating in the cer-
emony were the bride's grand-
parents, Aaron Corey and Gloria
Baer, and the groom's grandfa-
ther, John Flashner.
Following a honeymoon cruise
in the Caribbean, the couple re-
side in Royal Oak.
