a beveled-glass top sitting on four fluted
columns with gold leaf and black lacquer.
Atop it sits a one-of-a-kind gold and bronze
ceramic bowl.
Two sofas, in a black and bronze striate
silk, feature antique accent pillows in gold
silk. The two chairs, in a gold leaf with black
tone-on-tone fabric, anchor the table. An
old woven gold- thread throw with tiny mir-
rors rests on one sofa. An end table features
an antique gold and white onyx clock. A
wall unit in black lacquer with gold accents,
designed by Winton-Feinberg with Greg
Bartelt of Vogue Furniture in Livonia,
wraps the room and houses a collection of
leather books and a television.
Two black Regency chairs upholstered
in gold striate silk, sit at the partners' writ-
ing table in the bay window. The table is
custom made. A black granite ogee top sits
on a fluted ebony base. In the corner stands
a chinoiserie pedestal with an antique
bronze vase. A Miro painting hangs on the
wall.
Across the foyer is the dining room, ar-
chitecturally a mirror image of the office.
Identical draperies, walls and rug create a
harmonic balance. The table is composed
of three black and brass pedestal bases with
a 2-inch beveled-glass top. Fourteen Re-
gency armchairs are upholstered in a black
Doupion silk. Atop the table are six glass
candlesticks with 24-karat gold interiors by
Oggetti. A 12-panel Cormandel screen,
black granite table, and an antique Chinese
tea table are in the back of room. A large
Miro dominates one wall. The ceiling fea-
tures floating steps with cove lighting. The
lighting throughout the house was created
by Ron Harwood, of Illuminating Concepts
in Farmington Hills. "The owners were
very interested in multi-use areas where
you can entertain, or spend quality time
alone or with family," says Andy Blitz, di-
rector of sales and marketing at Illuminat-
"We brought in a

lighting-control system so that any specif-
ic room will appear different for the desired
effect."
The great room is located off the rear of
the foyer, and features the same 26-foot-
high barrel-vaulted ceiling and large Palla-
dian windows. In the front of the room four
chaises by J. Robert Scott are dressed in an
ivory silk designed by Winton-Feinberg.
Accent pillows are in a black and cream
