Bryan Robbins, a soon-to-be
sixth-grader at Hillel Day
School, said he had a great
school year because of his
teacher Phyllis Falbaum.
"She went out of her way for
us," said Bryan, who lives in
Farmington Hills. "She is a re-

her class as I'd learn in sixth
grade."
Mrs. Falbaum taught Bryan
and his classmates how to write
poems and worked closely with
them when they needed help.
"She is my favorite teacher of
all times," he said. "Some of the
kids had trouble in a subject
and they didn't get good grades.
She would talk to them and
say, 'It's OK. You will have an-
other chance.' It always made
people feel better. Everyone re-
ally likes her." El
