A teen mission will be sent to Is-
rael during the summer of 1996.
This idea was the brainchild of
Jane Sherman, who is inter-
viewed during the August pro-
gram of Shaarey Zedek
Productions.
Ms. Sherman tells Geri Levit,
host and producer of the telecast,
that sending our children to Is-
rael will strengthen their Zion-
istic feelings, bring a love of
Judaism and give the partici-
pants a feeling of closeness to
Jews all over the world. Any teen
who is interested, should call the
Jewish Federation at 642-4260.
The other guest on the August
program is Rabbi Leonardo Bi-
tran, spiritual leader of Shaarey
Zedek, B'nai Israel Center. The
rabbi discusses the events at
B'nai Israel, particularly the fes-
tival which will take place on
Aug. 24.
During the last part of the pro-
gram will be the second part of
the tape about CAJE, the Con-
ference on Advancement of Jew-
ish Education.
All programs can be seen mul-
tiple times a month and also can
be found in the Shaarey Zedek
Library. The program was
recorded at the Continental Ca-
ble Corporation in West Bloom-
field.
