Ina Kadish

Ina Joan Silberman Kadish, 58, of Farming-
ton Hills, died Aug. 7. Mrs. Kadish was a
founding member and executive di-
rector (1993) of Gilda's Club, a sup-
port community for people with all
types of cancer. Mrs Kadish worked
with My Friends Care to help raise
money for a bone marrow trans-
plant procedure. She was owner of
Quartus Photo Design System and
she was active with the Birming-
ham Temple, with Family Women's
Group and Dinner Club and as a
member.
Mrs. Kadish is survived by her
husband, Paul; sons, James Port- Ina Kadish
ney, Dennis Portney of Chicago,
Gary Portney of San Francisco; daughter, Mar-
cy Portney of Farmington Hills; step-children,

MAX B. BEGUN, 91, of Farm-
ington Hills, died Aug. 3. Mr.
Begun was the beloved hus-
band of the late Helen D.
Horowitz Begun. Mr. Begun
has no known survivors. Ser-
vices and interment were held
at Cedar Park Cemetery in
Westwood, N. J. Arrangements

LEO BERGER, 83, of St. Clair
Shores, died Aug. 5. Mr. Berger
was a bottler at a brewery. He
is survived by his wife,
Dorothy; son, Michael D. of
Lake Orion; daughter and son-
in-law, Merrie Ann and Charles
Carpenter of St. Clair Shores;
nine grandchildren; four great-
grandchildren; brothers,
Charles and Edward of Detroit;
sisters, Mary Simpson of St.

BRUCKNER, 81, died Aug. 7.
He is survived by his beloved
wife, Marian; close, devoted
firend, Gerald Curtis. Grave-

ABRAHAM BURNSTEIN,
74, of Southfield, died Aug. 3.
Mr. Burnstein was a certified
public accountant and was the
former president of Burnstein,
Morris, Kalish and Walgren.
He was a graduate of Wayne
State University and Walsh
Business College. Mr. Burn-
stein was very active with Con-
gregation Beth Shalom, was a
member of Morganthau Lodge
B'nai B'rith, Budget and Plan-
ning Division of the Jewish
Welfare Federation and a past
board member of the Jewish
Vocational Service. He was also
a World War II Army veteran.
Mr. Burnstein was the loving
father of the late Lawrence
Burnstein and the dear brother
of the late Harriet Rapoport.
He is survived by his wife of 54
years, Charlotte "Chickie"
Burnstein; sister and brother-
in-law, Florence and George
Karabenick of Huntington
Woods; brother-in-law, Freder-
ick Rapoport. Interment at
Machpelah Cemetery. Memori-

GLORYETTE DENN, 94, of
West Bloomfield, died Aug. 1.
Mrs. Denn spent most of her
life in Benton Harbor and was
a district officer of District 6
B'nai B'rith Women. At the age
of 88, Mrs. Denn lived in Win-
ter Park, Fla., and was presi-
dent of B'nai B'rith Women of
Greater Orlando and president
of the sisterhood of Temple
Beth Am. She was the beloved
wife of the late Allen Denn.
Mrs. Denn is survived by her
son and daughter-in-law, David
and Joanne of West Bloomfield;
grandchildren, Susan and Dr.
Donald Alpiner, Steven and
Yvonne Denn, Karen and
Joseph Stearns; six great-
grandchildren. Interment at
Westlawn Cemetery in Chica-
