Mrs. Kadish was a founding member and executive di- rector (1993) of Gilda's Club, a sup- port community for people with all types of cancer. Mrs Kadish worked with My Friends Care to help raise money for a bone marrow trans- plant procedure. She was owner of Quartus Photo Design System and she was active with the Birming- ham Temple, with Family Women's Group and Dinner Club and as a member. Mrs. Kadish is survived by her husband, Paul; sons, James Port- Ina Kadish ney, Dennis Portney of Chicago, Gary Portney of San Francisco; daughter, Mar- cy Portney of Farmington Hills; step-children, MAX B. Mr. Burnstein was a certified public accountant and was the former president of Burnstein, Morris, Kalish and Walgren. He was a graduate of Wayne State University and Walsh Business College. Mr. Burn- stein was very active with Con- gregation Beth Shalom, was a member of Morganthau Lodge B'nai B'rith, Budget and Plan- ning Division of the Jewish Welfare Federation and a past board member of the Jewish Vocational Service. He was also a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Burnstein was the loving father of the late Lawrence Burnstein and the dear brother of the late Harriet Rapoport. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Charlotte "Chickie" Burnstein; sister and brother- in-law, Florence and George Karabenick of Huntington Woods; brother-in-law, Freder- ick Rapoport.
