To some, we are a miracle congregation,
having grown from 30 to over 650
families in just seven years. At Shir
Shalom, we believe in miracles, but we
have built our congregation by keeping
our promises.

We were the first to publicly ask
intermarrieds to become a part of a
temple family and we have made every
program and service sensitive to the
needs of the intermarried and the
blended family.

We promised our children that they
would be treated as individuals, which
is why every child is guaranteed an
individual Bar/t Mitzvah—no doubles
or triples.

We have promised that our building
would reflect our spiritual center, but

- TEMPLE

SHIR
SHALOM

would not take the place of heart or
soul. And in 40 days and 40 nights, that
promise will be kept as well!.

To some, making a Temple a family
affair is a miracle. At Shir Shalom, it's a
promise!

Talk to our Membership Committee,
Rick Smith, Carol Ogusky, or our
Rabbis at 810-737-8700 about being part
of that promise.
