with contemporary treatments of
materials, creating rich patterns of
color and vivid imagery.
Ross works low-fired terra cotta

plant-form imagery. Etched marks
reminiscent of "ancient" symbols
create a sense of freedom and
"play," lending strength to the
planes of the surface. Copper-leaf
and hand-dyed reeds enhance the
color and design of each piece.

August.
