ROSE BLAU, 81, of South-
field, died July 9. Mrs. Blau
was a micro film technician.
She was also a Red Cross-
Nurse Aid volunteer during
World War II, did nursing care
at Grace Hospital and retired
at the age of 62. After several
years of retirement, Mrs. Blau
went back to work and retired
at 65 from Grace Hospital; she
then worked until 1993 for Ide-
al Occupational Medical Cen-
ter. Mrs. Blau was a past mem-
ber of the Eastern Star. For 35
years, she was the beloved wife
of the late Ben Blau, the loving
grandmother and great-grand-
mother of the late Ruth Rabin
and the late Kevin Hopkins.
Mrs. Blau is survived by her
sons and daughters-in-law, Dr.
Larry and Diane of Farmington
Hills, Roger and Joanne of
Commerce Township; daugh-
ters and son-in-law, Eleanor
Yanitz of Southfield, Elaine
and David Rabin of New Or-
leans; grandchildren, Barbara
and Jim Hopkins, Raymond
Yanitz, Neil and Kathy Rabin,
Cheryl Blau, Lisa and Jim
Love, David Blau and Angela
Armitage, Tammy and Ben
Blau; great-grandchildren,
Grant, Karen and Brett Hop-
kins, Lauren and Brooke Ra-

GLADYS BREZNER, 85, of
Houston, formerly of Detroit,
died July 4. Mrs. Brezner was a
member of Congregation Beth
Yeshurin in Houston, life mem-
ber of Hadassah, volunteer at
M.D. Anderson Hospital in
Houston.
She was the beloved wife of
the late Harry Brezner. Mrs.
Brezner is survived by her son
and daughter-in-law, Dr.
Stephen and Diane of Houston;
grandchildren, Kevin and
Melissa Brezner and Dana and
Isaac Aboulafia. Interment at
Clover Hill Park Cemetery.

IDA DIAMOND, 86, of Oak
Park, died July 6. She was the
beloved wife of the late Albert
Diamond. She is survived by
sisters, Freda Linden of South-
field, Goldie Young of Delray
Beach, Fla. Services were held
at Machpelah Cemetery Chapel
in Ferndale, followed by inter-
ment at the cemetery. Contri-

MIS BLATT ELLISON, 48,
of Tallahassee, Fla., died July
10. Mrs. Ellison was a social
worker for the Department of
Social Services for the State of
Michigan. She was the loving
daughter of the late Meyer
Blatt and the dear sister of the
late Allen Blatt. Mrs. Ellison is
survived by her husband, Rus-
sell; mother, Ruth Sak and
William Sak of West Bloom-
field; brother and sister-in-law,
Martin and Nancie Blatt of
Chicago; sister-in-law, Shirley
Blatt of Chicago; step-brothers

ESTELLE GOLDSMITH, 87,
of West Bloomfield, died July 8.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Milton Goldsmith. She is
survived by her daughters and

West Bloomfield; sister, Flo-
rence Smith of Beverly Hills,

ETHEL GROSSMAN
GREENWALD, 82, formerly of
Southfield of Los Angeles, died
June 20. She was a high school
teacher in Brownsville, Pa.,
from 1936 - 1951 before she
moved to Cincinnati, then
Southfield, then Los Angeles.
She is survived by her husband,
Harry; daughter and son-in-
law, Barbara and Mark Lesser;
grandchildren, Aaron and
Nicole.

GOLDIE KLEINBERG, 84, of
Farmington Hills, died July 4.
Mrs. Kleinberg was the beloved
wife of the late Sam Kleinberg.
She is survived by her daugh-
ters, Elaine Wayman and Sel-
ma Kleinberg both of Farming-
ton Hills; granddaughter,
Shannon Wayman. Memorial
