She was also a Red Cross- Nurse Aid volunteer during World War II, did nursing care at Grace Hospital and retired at the age of 62. After several years of retirement, Mrs. Blau went back to work and retired at 65 from Grace Hospital; she then worked until 1993 for Ide- al Occupational Medical Cen- ter. Mrs. Blau was a past mem- ber of the Eastern Star. For 35 years, she was the beloved wife of the late Ben Blau, the loving grandmother and great-grand- mother of the late Ruth Rabin and the late Kevin Hopkins.
