STEPHEN JAY GLANTZ, 44,
former Detroiter of Tamarac,
Fla., died June 26. Mr. Glantz
was a rock promoter in the De-
troit area, credited with giving
Kiss its first big break. He also
arranged for the group to play a
high school homecoming in
Cadillac. He booked shows for
Ted Nugent, Bob Seger and
Bachman Turner Overdrive.
He recently completed a book
titled Murder at the Grande
Ballroom..
He was the beloved son of the
late Sylvia Kleiman Glantz. He
is survived by his father,
Gabriel of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.;
brother, Leonard S. of South-
field; sister and brother-in-law,
Arlene and Judge Jerome Blum
of West Bloomfield. Services
were held at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery Chapel in Birming-
ham, followed by interment at
the cemetery. Contributions
may be made to a charity of
one's choice. Arrangements by
the Dorfman Funeral Direction.

ALICE MAY GROSSMAN,
86, of Los Angeles formerly of
Detroit, died July 1. Mrs.
Grossman was a published
writer of children's stories. She
was the beloved wife of the late
Moses Grossman. Mrs. Gross-
man is survived by her daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Joanna and
Alvin Edelson of Huntington
Woods; son, Richard; grandchil-
dren, Julie and Scott Halpert,
Karin Edelson, Andrew Edel-
son, Justine Grossman, Adam
Grossman; great-grandchil-
dren, Alyson Halpert and Gar-
rett Halpert. Services and in-
terment in California. For
information call the Ira Kauf-
man Chapel.

LUCILE J. HULER, 96, of
Southfield, died July 3. Mrs.
Huler was the beloved wife of
the late Edward Huler. She is
survived by her daughter, Au-
drey Benenson of Southfield.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Memorial contribu-
tions may be directed to the

MICHAEL ITKIN, 47, of West
Bloomfield, died June 29. He is
survived by his wife, Laura;
daughters, Michelle and Nicole
of West Bloomfield; brother and
sister-in-law, Alex and Irina of
Southfield; mother and father-
in-law, Sam and Lilya Basin;
sister and brother-in-law, Janet

and Jacob Dunayevich. Memor-

ANN JACOBY, 97, of Farm-
ington Hills, died July 1. Mrs.
Jacoby was an Eastern Star
and a member of the Jewish
War Veterans. She was the
beloved wife of the late Samuel
Jacoby. Mrs. Jacoby is survived
by her daughters and sons-in-
law, Adele and Raymond
Galper of Farmington Hills,
Marilyn and Louis Gutter, Ar-
lene Berger of Farmington
Hills; grandchildren, Jeffrey
and Vicky Galper, Marcie and
Marc Schechter, Lori and
Michael Fullett, Debi Gutter,
