May Events

Dances from India and the
"down-home" sounds of the har-
monica will be featured fare for
the seniors of Temple Beth El in
May. On Sunday, May 21, the
Middle Years Group will host
Chaula Thacker of the Center for
Creative Studies and her color-
fully-costumed troupe of Indian
dancers. The 1 p.m. program will
be proceeded by cake and coffee
at 12:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, May 23, the Beth
Elders will host a noon luncheon.
Guest artists will be The Har-
monica-Nection, a trio led by Bob
Williams.
There is no charge, nor are
reservations necessary, for the
Sunday program, There is a
charge, however, for the Tues-
day luncheon and reservations
are necessary. For reservations,
call Jeanette Cohen, 737-0194.

JPM Seniors
Set Calendar

Bingo will take place on Monday,
May 22, at 12:30 p.m. at Jimmy
Prentice Morris Jewish Com-
munity Center. A nominal do-
nation is requested.
Senior Fitness Day registra-
tion is taking place now. This
event will be held Wednesday,
May 31, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Co-
sponsored by the Jewish Feder-
ation Apartments, this program
will include a walkathon, warm-
ups and cool-downs, healthful
snacks, and a raffle. Call JPM,

Musical Event
For Seniors

Temple Israel's Treasures, a
group of active seniors, will hold
a program on Wednesday, May
24, at noon at the temple; lun-
cheon will be served. Evelyn and
Cantor Harold Orbach will pre-
sent a musical program, "The
Three Gifts," accompanied by cel-
list Nicole Charboneau and pi-
anist Zina Shaykhet.
