Scholarship Funds
Are Available

Sixteen formal Jewish Sunday,
afternoon and evening schools
are currently offering applica-
tions for the Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit 1995-96
educational scholarship fund.
The scholarships, based on a
family's financial need, are part
of a larger initiative to encour-
age members of the community
to join synagogues and temples
at the same time promoting Jew-
ish education.
Scholarship forms are avail-
able at the Agency for Jewish Ed-
ucation, Adat Shalom, Beit
Kodesh, Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses, Beth Achim, Beth
Shalom, Birmingham Temple,
B'nai Moshe, Jewish Parents In-
stitute, Shaarey Zedek, Shir Tik-
vah, Temple Beth El, Temple
Emanu-El, Temple Israel, Tern-
ple Kol Ami, Temple Shir
Shalom and Workmen's Circle.
Priority will be given to fami-
lies who have current or pending
membership in congregations.
Completed applications must be
returned to the school by June
30.
Families will be notified by
August if their children qualify
for scholarships.

Is Discussed

Machon L'Torah, will host a con-
ference on the Jewish family on
Sunday, May 21, starting at
10:30 a.m. and concluding at
2:15 p.m.
Sarah Eisemann, Susan
Faitler, Rabbi Elimelech Gold-
berg, Rabbi Avrohom Jacobovitz,
and Bayla Jacobovitz, will be the
presenters.
Lunch will be served. The
program will be held at the
Machon Learning Center. There

Sports Outings

The men's club of Congregation
B'nai Moshe will host a trip to
see the Grand Rapids Whitecaps
baseball team. The game is Sun-
day, May 28, at 2 p.m. Cost for a
lawn seat is $3 and $6 for the
new right field deck.
The men's club will go to the
Tigers game on Tuesday, June
13, 7 p.m.; the tickets are $10.
