Dr. Larry and Barbara Schect-
man of Waterford, Conn., happi-
ly announce the engagement of
their daughter Deborah Lynn, to
Dr. Michael Eric Snyder, son of
Mr. David and Cyvia Snyder of
West Bloomfield.
Deborah received a bachelor of
arts cum laude in comparative
literature from Columbia College,
N.Y., and her law degree from
Boston University. She then
earned a master's degree in pub-
lic health from Harvard Univer-
sity. She practices health law at

Couch, White, Brenner, Howard
& Feigenbaum in Albany, N.Y.
Michael earned a bachelor of
science degree in psychology and
his medical degree from the Uni-
versity of Michigan. He complet-
ed a residency in ophthalmology
at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore fol-
lowed by a cornea fellowship at
Tufts University. He practices
ophthalmology with Troy Eye As-
sociates of Troy, N.Y.
A fall wedding is planned in
Boston.

Michael and Caron Goldfine of
Farmington Hills, are very

Cara to Matthew James Horsley,

Ilene earned a bachelor's de-
gree in business administration
from the University of Michigan.

She is employed as an auditor

Detroit. Matt earned a bachelor's
degree in business administra-
tion at the University of Michi-
gan and is employed as a
financial consultant with Mutu-
al of America in Southfield.
