to healthy tissue are limited; there-
fore, this method often permits repeat
treatment of the same area. Utilizing
external beam radiation for repeat
treatment courses is usually not pos-
sible because of the risk of damage to
the healthy tissues.

dose-rate brachytherapy may offer
treatment in cases where all other ap-

cluding chemotherapy, surgery, and
