MARTIN JOEL FIERMAN,
47, of Southfield, died April 26.
For 13 years, Mr. Fierman was
an insurance agent for Kanter
Associates. He was also a
breeder of Brussels Griffon
Dogs, a member of the Ameri-
can Brussels Griffon Associaton
and the National Brussels Grif-
fon Club. Mr. Fierman is sur-
vived by his wife, Bunny; par-
ents, Bill and Nona of
Chesterland, Ohio; brother and
sister-in-law, Benjamin and
Dee of Lyndhurst, Ohio; sister
and brother-in-law, Linda and
Robert Joynt of Chesterland.
Interment at Beth El Memorial
Park. Memorial contributions

DR. JACK Y. FORMAN, 83,
of Southfield, died May 2. Dr.

Forman, a dentist, was a cap-
tain in the U.S. Army in World
War II and was wounded in
China Burma Theater. He was
a member of the Detroit Tennis
Club.
Dr. Forman was the devoted
father of the late Lewis For-
man; dear brother of the late
Jay Forman. He is survived by
his former wife, Blanche For-
man; sons and daughters-in-
law, Dr. Paul and Karen of
Farmington Hills, Dr. Richard
and Robin of San Andreas,
Calif., Dr. Bruce and April of
West Bloomfield, Kenneth of
Southfield; grandchildren, Bri-
an and Tammy Martin, Joshua,
Daniel, Beth, Laurie and Alex
Forman; great-grandchildren,
Eddie Forman; brother and sis-
ter-in-law, Philip and Sadye of
Southfield; sister and brother-
in-law, Lillian and Sam Fleis-

HELENA RUBENFIRE
GAVORIN, 73, former Detroi-

ter of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.,
died April 20. She is survived
by her beloved husband of 53
years, Herman; daughter, Su-
san; son and daughter-in-law,
Harvey and Bobbie; grandchil-
dren, Lee Cohn, Traci Cohn,
David (Denise) Gavorin,
Michelle Gavorin, Randy
Gavorin; great-grandchildren,
Andrew, Austin and Becka
Gavorin.

LOUIS "LR" JACOBS, 82, of
West Bloomfield, died April 26.
Mr. Jacobs was the beloved
husband of the late Lillian Ja-
cobs. He is survived by his wife,
Christine; daughter, Sue Anne
of West Bloomfield; sisters and
brothers-in-law, Sophie and
Dave Segel of West Palm
Beach, Fla., Mary Rubin of Mi-
ami, Fla., Gail Lopata of South-
field, Fay and Herbert Gussin

Diabetes Association or a chari-

Machpelah Cemetery in Fern-

NANEITE (MACHT) KA-
PUSTIN, died April 21. She
was the beloved wife of the late
Rabbi Max Kapustin and the
late Dr. Nelson Lasson; beloved
mother of the late Robert Las-
son. She is survived by her
sons, Rabbi Morris and Ken-
neth, both of Baltimore; daugh-
ter, Eleanor Berkowitz of
Jerusalem; brother, Dr. Martin
Macht of Cincinnati; sister,
Rita Bergson of Boston; 11
