The annual meeting of the Jew-
ish Federation of Washtenaw
County/United Jewish Appeal
(UJA) will be held Wednesday,
May 31, at 7:30 p.m. at the Jew-
ish Community Center in Ann
Arbor.
Nominees for the board of di-
rectors include: Morley Witus,
Martha Oleinick, and Carol
Smokier—all of whom are re-
turning to the board. Nominees
for new board memebers are
Neal Elyakin, Judie Lax, Car-
olyn Lichter, Barry Margolis and
Scott Kellman.

Community Center of Washte-
naw County, a JCC Founders
Gala Dessert will be held on Sun-
day,May 21, at 7 p.m. at the
Campus Inn.
The dessert, reception and
gala celebration will include the
premiere of a video documenting
the JCC's history and current ac-
tivities, the display of an eight-
panel dramatic photographic
display chronicling the history of
all organizations who have found
a home at the JCC, and a cere-
mony honoring JCC Founders.
The fee for the event is $10 a
person; $25 for a family—chil-
dren are welcome.
