The Department of Michigan, Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A., the
oldest active veterans organization in the United States, will be
celebrating its 100th Anniversary with a special campaign to enroll
all Jewish veterans in Michigan. With our liberal membership policy,
you are eligible for membership even though you may not be a
veteran.
If you have been thinking of joining, but no one has asked you...we

We aren't just another Jewish organization. We are the patriotic
voice of American Jewry. Our veteran and community programs

At The JCC
Sports Gallery
Holds Sale
Registration is under way for the
second annual JCC Pro Sports
Camp Series. All camps except
rollerblade hockey will be held at
the Maple-Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center.
The camps focus on funda-
mentals and include games, con-
tests and drills. There will be
time for recreational swimming,

A grand-opening moving sale will
be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday at the Sports Gallery,
a Birmingham memorabilia store
owned by 30-year-old attorney
Michael Fishman.
The store offers both auto-
graphed and unsigned col-
lectibles. It is located at 269
South Woodward, one-half block
south of the Birmingham The-

Dunk You
Very Much
High school students ages 15-17
are invited to participate in the
first teens slam-dunk contest at
the Maple-Drake Jewish Corn-
munity Center.
Participants in the Saturday,
July 8, event will do their dunk-
ing on 8 1/2-foot baskets. Corn-
petition will begin at 3 p.m.
All dunkers will receive a T-
shirt and trophies will be pre-
sented to the champions and
runners-up. For information on

An indoor rollerblade hockey
tournament for players ages 7-
14 will be held Sunday, May 7,
at the Jimmy Prentis Morris
(JPM) Jewish Community Cen-
ter.
Teams must have six-player ros-
ters and goalie equipment is
mandatory. All players must
have helmets, knee pads and

Book Sale
The Friends of the Huntington
woods Library will hold a used
