Congregation B'nai Moshe will
hold its annual Youth Shabbat
on Saturday, May 6. Children
ages 5-18 will lead and partici-
pate in the Saturday morning
service which begins at 9 a.m.
Leading major parts of the ser-
vice will be Benjamin Singer, Pe-
sukei D'zimra; Garrett Field,
Shacharit; Andrew Field, Musaf;
Torah readers: Mark Alperin, Gil
Feldman, Lavie Golenberg, Ju-
dith Horwitz, Daniel Levi, Elana
Roth; Laura Grey, Haftorah.
Youth Shabbat corresponds
this year with the B'nai Moshe
scholar in residence weekend.
This year's guest speaker is Rab-
bi William Lebeau of the Jewish
Theological Seminary. The Sat-
urday morning service will be fol-
lowed by kiddush.

BBYO Events
Set For Teens
BBYO Council meetings will be
held on Tuesday, May 2, at 7 p.m.
BBG will meet at the Agency for
Jewish Education and the AZA
council will meet at the Maple-
Drake JCC. The focus of these
meetings will be voting on rec-
ommendations proposed by the
council presidents and final
declarations and nominations
for the upcoming regional elec-
tions.
The teen community is invit-
ed to attend the Kishon AZA Joo
Doo Lounge Tour Dance on Sat-
urday, May 6, 8:30 p.m. - mid-
night at Maple-Drake. There is
an admission charge. Casual
dress is requested.
On Thursday, May 11, Ann Ar-
bor Teen Connection will hold its
Joe Jewish's Bar Mitzvah Bash
from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ann Arbor
JCC. The evening will include Joe
Cornell Studio's Great DJ
Sounds, pizza dinner and prizes
for dance competition winners.
All Washtenaw County middle
schoolers are invited. All fifth
grade prospective members are
also invited to attend. Bring one
can of food for a local homeless
shelter. There is an admission
