was the co-owner of the Peter
Pan Flower Shop. She was the
beloved wife of the late Nathan
Abrams and the devoted moth-
er of the late Charlotte Zack.
Mrs. Abrams is survived by her
son and daughter-in-law, Dr.
Bruce and Sue of West Bloom-
field; son-in-law, William Zack;
grandchildren, Andrew and

BENJAMIN J. BROWN-
FAIN, 33, died in Portland,

Ore., April 10. Mr. Brownfain
was a graduate of Southfield
High School and earned both
undergraduate and law degrees
from the University of Michi-
gan. In Portland he was for sev-
eral years an associate in the
law firm of Perkins Coie, and in
recent years was a law clerk in
the 9th Federal District Court.
He was active in the Jewish
Community and this year
chaired a highly successful Su-
per Sunday on behalf of the
Portland Jewish Federation.
He is survived by his parents
John and Florence of Bloom-
field Hills; sister, Ellen of San
Francisco; his beloved Diane
Brockmeyer of Sacramento.

JACOB "JACK" CORNELL,
73, of Palm Beach, Fla., died
April 14. From 1942-1959, Mr.
Cornell was an automotive en-
gineer for Chrysler and worked
at the Chelsea Proving
Grounds. Mr. Cornell was a
member of the Society of Auto-
motive Engineers. He was the
dear brother of the late
Winifred Lindenbaum. He is
survived by his wife, Dorothy;
