meet on Tuesday, April 4, at

Beth Achim. There will be a

Edith Broida will review Room-
mates by Max Apple. Ms. Broida,
a copy editor and writer, has pub-
lished articles in the Southfield Ob-
server and Detroit Monthly
magazine. She is an adjunct pro-
fessor at Oakland Community Col-
lege, teaching creative writing.

Hears Review

Michigan Ladies Auxiliary, Jew-
ish War Veterans will host na-
tional president Adele Zucker on
Tuesday and Wednesday, April
4 and 5. Chairmen of this visit
are Martha Hauptman and Flo
Weber.
Tuesday, April 4, at 6 p.m. will
be a paid-up membership dinner;
8 p.m. will be a meeting. For din-

Zucker will visit Allen Park Vet-
erans Hospital; a gift to the hos-

JNF Board
Plans Meeting

The next meeting of the officers
and board of directors of the
Women of Jewish National Fund
of Greater Detroit will be held on
Tuesday, April 4, at the offices of
JNF, 17100 West 10 Mile Rd.,
Southfield at noon.
Among the items of the agen-
da will be a discussion on the up-
coming Women's 66th Donor
scheduled for Nov. 14, at Con-

Learn Yiddish
With Hadassah

The Greater Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah will sponsor a Yiddish
Conversation Group under the
leadership of Alva Dworkin
which will meet in the Hadassa-
ha House, 5030 Orchard Lake
Road, West Bloomfield, begin-
ning on Monday, April 3, from
10:30 a.m. to noon and will con-
tinue until June.
There is a minimum fee to de-

DIA Tour
For Na'amat

The Na'amat Circle of Greater
Detroit will sponsor a trip to the
DIA on Thursday, April 6, at
11:30 a.m. The members will
meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. in
the Kresge Court Cafe and will
visit the Royal Tombs of Sipan
exhibit at 1 p.m.

Whirlyball

B'nai B'rith Leadership Network
will have a whirlyball night for
single and married Jewish adults
in their 20s and 30s, 8-11 p.m.
Saturday, April 29, at Whirlyball
