Music Club
Hears Chorale

The Zamir Chorale of Metropol-
itan Detroit will perform at the
Music Study Club's spring meet-
ing on Sunday, March 26, at 3
p.m. at the Birmingham Temple.
There will be refreshments
served at 2 p.m. preceding the
meeting.
The Zamir Chorale specializes
in Yiddish, Ladino, Hebrew, and
English songs and is dedicated
to providing an opportunity for
Jews of all traditions and back-
grounds to come together in
songs that reflect their heritage.
New members of the Music
Study Club will be honored at
this meeting: Marian Bassey,
Fannie Berman, Samuel
Frankel, Ruth Koltonow, Mar-
vin Laurence, Sara Lebus,
Louise Lazarus, Miltion J. Miller,
Barbara Moehlman, Irma Pa-
sick, Gail W. Pearlman, Ann
Marie Perniciaro, Ann Shumak-
er, Ned Smokier, Milton J. Stein-
hardt, and Florence Weintraub.

B'nai Shalom
Centennial

Temple B'nai Shalom in Benton
Harbor will celebrate its centen-
nial March 24-26.
The celebration will start with
Friday evening services. On Sat-
urday following the morning ser-
vice, will be a lunch, afternoon
history program, dinner, service
and then a performance by the
Maxwell Street Klezmer band of
Chicago. On Sunday morning
will be brunch, followed by re-
marks from community leaders.
During the first two weeks in
May, Temple B'nai Shalom will
host the Jewish Life in Michigan
exhibit, prepared by the Anti-
Defamation League of B'nai
Brith. The exhibit will be at the
public library in downtown St
Joseph.
Temple B'nai Shalom in Ben-
ton Township traces its lineage
back to 1895, when the Children
of Israel Synagogue was formed.
