Medical conditions in Jewish
families will be explored at the
next meeting of the Jewish Ge-
nealogical Society of Michigan,
7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 16,
at Temple Beth El.
Guest speaker will be Dr.
Lester Weiss, director of the
Medical and Birth Defects Cen-
ter at Henry Ford Hospital, De-
troit. Dr. Weiss, and fellow
pediatrician Dr. Ralph Cash, set
up the first metro-area screen-
ing for Tay-Sachs disease.
Admission is free for JGS
members and first-time guests.
Light refreshments will be
served.
