WALLACE SAMPSON
Wallace H. Sampson, 46, of
Bloomfield Hills, died Feb. 20.
Mr. Sampson was introduced
to the brokerage business in
1970, started training with Hut-
ton & Company in 1971, and
started in business with Ken
Brandt in 1979. In that year he
was awarded Huton's Midwest
Region Award for Professional-
ism. In 1982, he was appointed
a manager; he later attained
the title of vice president. In the
position, he trained many new
brokers and served as the link
between brokers and national
management as a member of
the Directors Advisory group.
Mr. Sampson became the
first president of Shir Shalom
and began to work on planning
the new building; he called the
construction of the temple a
dream come true. "He was the
guiding force behind the build-
ing," said Rabbi Dannel
Schwartz.
Mr. Sampson was the devot-
ed son-in-law of the late Henry
Westheimer. He is survived by
his wife, Rochelle; sons, Daniel,
Jeffrey and Marc; mother, Eme-
line of Farmington Hills; broth-
er and sister-in-law, Dr.
Michael and Paula of Farm-
