mer Detroiter of South Pasede-
na, Fla., died Jan. 30. he was the
father of the late Seymour Raben.
He is survived by his beloved
wife, Susan; sons and daughters-
in-law, David and Diane of Livo-
nia, Paul and Peggy of Fort Laud-
erdale, Fla.; daughters and
sons-in-law, Arlene and Michael
Fogel of Northville, Phyllis and
Duncan Cole of Ann Arbor; 12
grandchildren; 11 great-grand-
children; sisters, Pearl Bez of
Southfield, May Shorr of St. Pe-
tersberg, Fla.; brother, John of
Detroit.

HYIVIAN SABBOTA, 80, of De-
troit, died Feb.16. Mr. Sabbota
was the beloved husband of the
late Sarah Sabbota. He is sur-
vived by his sons and daughters-
in-law, Dr. Harvey and Elaine of
Southfield, Howard and Patricia
of Redford; daughter and son-in-
law, Faith and Dr. Bruce Ober-
stein of Mesa, Ariz.; brother and
sister-in-law, David and Sandra
of Oak Park; brother-in-law and
sister-in-law, Dr. Lloyd and Doris
Paull; grandchildren, Mark, Amy
and Aubreigh Sabbota, Beth and
Avi Adler, Benjamin and Alanna
Oberstein. Contributions may be
directed to Akiva Day School or
a charity of one's choice. Inter-
ment at Hebrew Memorial Park.

troit of Hallendale, Fla., died Feb.
19. She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. Norman
and Marilyn of Bloomfield Hills;
brother and sister-in-law, Max
and Sylvia Finberg of Hollywood,
Fla.; grandchildren, Robin and
Larry Lash, Susan and Allan
Marion. Services held in
Hollywood; interment at Temple
Beth-El Memorial Gardens,
Ft. Lauderdale. Contributions
may be made to a chrity of one's
choice.

FRANK SELMAN, 76, of Farm-
ington Hills, died Feb. 19. For 45
years, Mr. Selman was a sales-
man for Art's Plumbing Supplies
in Warren, formerly of Detroit.
Mr. Selman was also a member
of the Downtown Synagogue and
active with the Knights of
Pythias.
He was the beloved husband
of the late Gertrude Selman and
the loving father of the late An-
drea Selman. Mr. Selman is sur-
vived by his daughter, Michelle
of Farmington Hills.
Interment at Machpelah
Cemetery. Memorial contribu-
tions may be directed to the
Frank Selman Memorial Fund
at JARC, 28366 Franklin Road,
Southfield, MI 48034. Arrange-
ments by the Ira Kaufman
Chapel.

ANNA SHERBOW, 91, of Oak
Park, died Feb. 17. She was the
beloved mother of the late
Theodore. She is survived by her
son and daughters-in-law, Bud
and Muriel of Oak Park, Bernice;
six grandchildren; 12 great-
grandchildren; brother, Geroge
Winters of Silver Spring, Md. Ser-
vices and interment at King
David Memorial Garden in Falls
Church, Va. Contributions may

Rabbi's Discretionary Fund,

ETTIE WEISMAN, 89, of Oak
Park, died Feb.18. Mrs. Weisman
was a member of B'nai Brith
Women, Na'amat and Congre-
gation Beth Tefilo Emanuel Tik-
vah. She is survived by her hus-
band, Ben; son and
daughter-in-law; Jerry and Nan-
ci of West Bloomfield; daughter,
Florrine Dorn of Miami, Fla.;
brother and sister-in-law, Jack
and Dorothy Greisman of Farm-
ington Hills; sister and brother-
in-law, Ann and Irwin Frost of
Akron, Ohio; mother-in-law of
Judie Weisman; grandchildren,
Leslie and Debra Dorn, Neal,
Elisa and Cary Evan Weisman.

GARY P. ZILBER, 42, of West
Bloomfield, died Feb. 18. For 14
years, Mr. Zilber was a manu-
facturers representative for
Broner, Inc., a wholesale glove
distributor. He was also a mem-

Zedek. Mr. Zilber is survived by
his wife, Caryn; daughter, Rachel;
son, Jonathon; father, Julian;
brother and sister-in-law, Sidney
and Harriet; mother-in-law,
Shirley Lipson; fathers-in-law,
Robert Lipson and Sanford Davis;
grandmother, Betty Rubin. In-
terment at Beth El Memorial
