After winning the diving cham-
pionship in the Oakland County
boys swimming meet on Feb. 4,
West Bloomfield High School se-
nior JEREMY HERTZA said he
had some unfinished business to
complete in his final two home
dual meets.
Hertza wanted to break the 21-
year-old West Bloomfield pool and
team records for six-dive compe-
titions in those meets. Well, he did
it ... not once, but twice.
Against Berkley on Feb. 7,
Hertza scored 286.30 points, just
bettering the old marks of 285.20
which were established in 1974.
Two days later, against Ferndale,
Hertza shattered his own records
by scoring 298.85 points.
Boys and girls ages 12-16 (as of 8-1-95) are eligible
