Mini-Conference

The Leadership Network of B'nai
B'rith is planning events in
December for Jewish single and
married adults in their 20s and
30s. Join to help prepare and
serve a meal to the homeless
adults at the Detroit Rescue
Mission on Dec. 18. Meet at the
B'nai B'rith office, 31600 W. 13
Mile Road, at 1:30 p.m. Dona-
tions of canned food and winter
clothing also are needed. Drop off
donations at B'nai B'rith office or
call 356-7100 to arrange a pick-
up or to respond.
The monthly celebration of
birthdays with the senior resi-
dents of the Federation Apart-
ments — Teitel building will
continue Dec. 21 at 7:30 p.m. with
sing-along.
Attention all basketball play-
ers! The Leadership Network is
in the process of forming a bas-
ketball league which will meet
every Sunday morning beginning
in January.

Rabbi Avraham Jacobovitz of
Machon L'Torah will lead a
lunchtime mini-conference at the
offices of Barris, Sott, Denn, &
Driker, 211 West Fort, Detroit,
Dec. 20 at 12:15 p.m. The topic
will be "Jewish Ethics."
This scheduled conference is a
part of the Jewish Learning Net-
works ongoing Torah Exchange
program which hold lunchtime
mini-confernences in different lo-
cations throughout Michigan.
The program will allow a 1/2 hour
in which a deli lunch will be
served followed by a 40-minute
discussion. The program will be
hosted by Mr. Morley Witus.

War Veterans will hold the an-
nual Chanukah party 6:30 p.m.
Dec. 17 at McDonnell Towers,

evening will include dinner with
entertainment by song-and-dance
group the Grandmas. There is a

Celebration

The sisterhood of Congregation
B'nai Moshe will create "Kipot for
the 90s Woman" at the syna-

buttons, beads, ribbons, laces;
some will be sewn, some cro-
cheted.
