Rabbi Addresses
Lunch And Learn

Alan Lettofsky

Rabbi Alan Lettofsky — nation-
ally noted for his experience in
dealing with college-age youth
and their approach to Judaism
— will discuss "A Jewish View of
Sexuality" at Congregation Beth
Shalom's next lunch and learn
Dec. 10 following Shabbat ser-
vices. Rabbi Lettofsky also will
deliver the morning's sermon, ti-
tled "Jews in America: If Things
Are So Good, Why Are They So
Bad?"
There is a charge for the lunch
and learn. Children under 3 are
free and babysitting is available.
Reservations can be made by call-
ing the synagogue, 547-7970; or
Norbert Reinstein, 967-3544. The
deadline for reservations is Dec.
7. Tickets and reservations are
necessary for lunch only.
Rabbi Lettofsky has been en-
gaged in the Hillel Movement for
22 years. A lecturer at institu-
tions in the United States and Ar-
gentina, he earned a master of
arts in Hebrew literature and his
rabbinic ordination from the Jew-
ish Theological Seminary.

Chanukah
At Kol Ami

On Dec. 2, Temple Kol Ami will
celebrate Chanukah and Shab-
bat with a 7:30 p.m. Family Ser-
vice.
Featured will be a light-heart-
ed Chanukah presentation by
members of our third grade class-
es and some adult thespians
within the congregation. The ser-
vice will be preceded by a sister-
hood Chanukah dinner.
