Managers Association of Metro-

Each building won in its cate-

community."
The list of winners includes the
Guardian Building, Detroit (his-
torical); Timberland Office Park,
Troy (suburban office park); City
Center, Southfield (100,000 to
249,999 square feet); Volkswagen
•of America, Auburn Hills (250,000-
to 500,000 square feet); Timber-
land II, Troy (under 100,000
square feet); and Brookfield III,
Farmington Hills (corporate
headquarters).
The Guardian Building is
owned by Michigan Consolidat-

NEED HELP with your cover
letter and resume, job-seekers?
Elliott Shevin, the owner of Gard-
ner Avenue Data Services, a new
business, says he has the answer.
Mr. Shevin creates "distinctive
cover letter/resume packages."
"The average resume is about
as exciting as Jell-O," Mr. Shevin
said. "It's a 'career obituary'—
nothing more than a list of past
job titles and responsibilities.
"A good resume attracts the
reader's eye with inviting design
and starts with a bang: The rea-
sons the employer should inter-
view this applicant rather than
another."
Mr. Shevin can be reached at
810-543-4963.

SHEILA KASSELMAN is one
of three panelists who will par-
ticipate in a "Woman to Woman
Business Symposium for the '90s"
seminar from 6-8 p.m. Nov. 30 at
the Townsend Hotel in Birming-
ham.
Ms. Kasselman, a financial
counselor, will discuss "Planning
Your Financial Future: How To
Achieve Financial Independence
and Security."
