Bruce Herwitz were recently
married at Temple Beth El, Syra-
cuse, N.Y. Officiating at the cer-
emony were Rabbi David
Sheinkopf and Cantor M.
Moskowitz.
The bride is the daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. Gerald B. Gordon
of Jamesville, N.Y., and the
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Gerald A. Herwitz of Fort Myers,
Fla., formerly of Oak Park.
Attending her sister as matron
of honor was Marilyn Perez of
Tampa, Fla. Bridesmaids were
Francyne Chomic of Brighton,
sister of the groom; Robin Gor-
don of Los Angeles, sister of the

bride; Karen Friedland of New
Jersey, cousin of the bride; and
Melissa Yandon. Theresa Lynn
"Tally" Chomic, niece of the
groom, was flower girl.
Scott Herwitz of Los Angeles
was his brother's best man. Ush-
ers were Donald Chomic of
Brighton, brother-in-law of the
groom; Jeffrey Gordon of Syra-
cuse, brother of the bride; and
Michael Perez of Tampa, broth-
er-in-law of the bride. Jacob Gor-
don Perez, nephew of the bride,
was ring bearer.
Following their honeymoon at
Hilton Head, S.C., the newlyweds
are residing in Altamonte
Springs, Fla.

Miry is the daughter of
Anaruth and Dr. Henri Bernard
and Dan is the son of Nancy and
Howard Serlin.
The bride's sister, Betsy Wolf,
was matron of honor. Brides-
maids included Monica Brock-
meyer, sister-in-law of the bride;
Rachel Becker; Mara Isser and
Gabrielle Fleischer. Deborah
Oslik, cousin of the bride, was the
junior bridesmaid.
David Serlin, brother of the
groom, served as best man. The

ushers were the bride's brother
and brother-in-law, Kenneth
Bernard and Michael Wolf; Mark
Berke, cousin of the groom; Steve
Blum; Jason Vieder; and Jeffrey
Oslik, cousin of the bride.
Also participating in the cer-
emony were the grandparents of
the bride, Pearl and Abe Oslik,
and the grandparents of the
groom, Anne Serlin and Leanor
and Dr. Maurice Reizen.
Following a honeymoon in
Greece the couple is residing in
Ann Arbor where both are at-
tending the University of Michi-
gan; Miry is pursuing a master's
in social work in conjunction with
the STAR program and Dan is
attending law school.
