Macomb Center
Season Sparkles

Tickets are on sale for the 1994-
95 Macomb Center season.
A Gallagher performance has
been added for 8 p.m. Oct. 24, fol-
lowing the sell-out for Oct. 23.
Also added is: The Great Radio
City Music Hall Spectacular star-
ring the Rockettes with special
guest star Susan Anton. The
troupe will hit the stage at 3 and
7 p.m. Oct. 2.
The Center will present tour-
ing productions of Secret Garden
on Oct. 7 and 8; South Pacific,
Nov. 4 and 5; A Christmas Car-
ol, Dec. 3; Guys and Dolls, Jan.
13 and 14; Forever Plaid, Jan. 27;
Evita, Feb. 17 and 18; and Jesus
Christ Superstar, April 2.
Special events include opening
night with Tom Jones, Sept. 25;
Vic Damone Nov. 6; Rich Little,
Nov. 13; Sleeping Beauty, Nov.
20; Winter Solstice, Nov. 27; the
Gaylords, Dec. 10; Capitol Steps,
Jan. 20; Bobby Vinton, Jan. 22;
Pat Cooper, Feb. 25; Soupy Sales,
April 29; and Boots Randolph and
Brenda Lee, May 7.
On the classical side, Royal
Winnipeg Ballet will be present-
ed on Nov. 15 and 16; San Fran-
cisco Pops, Nov. 19; Ballet
Theatre de Bordeaux, Feb. 12;
Barber of Seville, Feb. 26; Oth-
ello, March 3; and Hubbard
Street Dance Chicago, March 24.
The Country Series will fea-
ture Hal Ketchum, Oct. 16; Mar-
ty Stuart, Dec. 17; Ronnie MiLsap,
March 25; and Crystal Gayle,
April 23.
Newport Jazz will be featured
on Oct. 9, followed by Preserva-
tion Hall Jazz Band on Jan. 29.
Sha Na Na has been added to
the Rock and Pop Series on Feb.
24, along with Tommy James,
Oct. 28; Judy Collins, Dec. 18;
and the Temptations Feb. 4.
Discovery shows include Red
Star Red Army, Oct. 22; Lucnica!
Slovak Dance Ensemble, Nov. 18;
the Chieftains, Dec. 1; Festival of
the Nile on March 19.
Encore performances include
Glenn Miller Orchestra, Oct. 21;
Stars of Lawrence Welk, Dec. 2;
Ink Spots and Four Aces, Feb. 10;
and Jerry Vale, April 9.
