Keren Hashvi'is.
Speaker and general editor of

Rabbi Nosson Scherman, will ad-
dress the audience; a special
video presentation is planned.

Ambassador Brown was in-
strumental in the implementa-
tion of the Camp David Accords.
He witnessed the Israeli bomb-
ing of Saddam Hussein's nuclear
reactor and negotiated with
Prime Minister Menachem Be-
gin following the Israel Defense
Forces strikes in Lebanon, in re-
sponse to PLO Katyusha attacks.
He has worked with former Is-
raeli Prime Ministers Yitzhak
Shamir and Shimon Peres and
was present when Yitzhak Rabin
signed a peace accord with Pales-
tine Liberation Organization
Chief Yassir Arafat. He helped
mobilize the American response
to the Iraqi bombing of Israel dur-
ing the Gulf War.
Ambassador Brown is the only
American to serve three times in
Israel. He also worked in
Moscow, where he handled the
case of former refusenik Anatoly
Sharansky.
