Registration

The Beth Achim Branch of the
Congregational Religious School
is continuing to accept registra-
tions for the 1994-1995 school
year with classes beginning Sept
11.
This year, kindergarten and
first grade are tuition free. Only
books and material fees will be
charges for these classes.
The Beth Achim branch of the
Congregational Religous school
has classes for children begin-
ning with kindergarten through
the post bar/bat mitzvah age.
The curriculum consists of
teaching practical knowledge of
the Hebrew language, Jewish ob-
servances and Jewish history. In
addition, students participate in
the weekly Junior Congregation
service.
The Congregation Religious
School also offers Judaica class-
es for students grades 8-10. This
program is designed around a
high school atmosphere in which
students participate and are able
to experience all walks of Jewish
life. They attend community, ed-
ucational and cultural events.
There are holiday seminars, dis-
cussions on current Jewish
events as well as teaching of the
Hebrew language. In addition,
there are special programs on the
art of Jewish culinary skills.

BBYO/JCC Teen Connection will
kick off its programming year
with a pool party and ice cream
social at Camp Ruth Sept. 3. The
program will feature swimming,
volleyball, basketball, dancing
and ice cream eating. The pro-
gram is from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m.
There is no charge for this event
for paid members of Teen Con-
nection for the 1994-95 year.
This program is open to 7th
and 8th graders. Parents are
asked to drop-off and pick-up
their teen in the day camp park-
ing lot, located off of Drake Rd.
