MOTOR COACH TOURS - 14 YEARS EXPERIENCE!

Michigan cross-country and track
teams in his freshman year. The
June graduate of Bloomfield Hills
Andover won two varsity letters
in cross-country and three in
track while he was in high school.
Last month, Mr. Fields fin-
ished sixth in the 800-meter run
in the Class B state track meet
in Saginaw. His time of 1:57.69
was a personal best by nearly two
seconds.
The track team captain was
named Andover's "Most Dedi-
cated Runner" after being select-
ed the "Most Improved Runner"
as a sophomore and junior.
Last fall, Mr. Fields helped
Andover win a Class B cross-
country regional championship
and he ran in the state meet.
Mr. Fields graduated summa
cum laude from Andover with a
4.14 grade-point average. He has
been admitted into the Honors
College at U-M, where he plans
to major in biology, chemistry and
political science.

EVAN ELLIS of Farmington
Hills has committed to play col-
lege basketball at Johns Hopkins
University in Baltimore.
Mr. Ellis, a 6-foot-7, 210-
pounder, was a starting forward
at North Farmington High
School as a junior and senior. He
averaged 10 points and 10 re-
bounds a game last season and
was voted his team's best defen-
sive player. He also earned All-
Lakes Division honors in the
Western Lakes Activities Asso-
ciation.
Johns Hopkins, an NCAA Di-
vision III school, graduated all
five of its starters from last year,
and Mr. Ellis is expected to corn-
pete for a starting spot.
A versatile athlete, Mr. Ellis
also played first base for the
North Farmington baseball team
and he competed in football and
track during his high school days.
Mr. Ellis plans to major in as-
trophysics at Johns Hopkins. The
3.85 grade-point-average student
was a member of the National
Honor Society and Phi Beta Kap-
pa at North Farmington. He also
was the president of his freshmen
