UJF Installs
New Officers

New officers of the United Jew-
ish Foundation were installed
with incoming President Michael
W. Maddin at the annual UJF
meeting.
Installed with Mr. Maddin
were: D. Larry Sherman, Susan
R. Citrin and Oscar H. Fledman,
vice president; Robert Slatkin,
treasurer, Robert P. Aronson, sec-
retary.
New at-large members are:
Warren J. Coville, Nancy Gros-
feld, Donald M. Lansky, Janice
B. Shatzman and Stanley M.
Weingarden.
Norman A. Pappas was in-
stalled as chairman of the Fed-
erted Endowment Fund,
succeeding Mr. Maddin.
Partner organization to the
Jewish Federation of Metropoli-
tan Detroit, the UJF oversees the
maintenance of communal prop-
erties and manages endowment
funds.
The Federated Endowment
Fund of the Jewish Federation
develops new and permanent
funds for the Jewish community
to ensure the continuation of so-
cial services and to initiate inno-
vative programs to meet
changing communal needs.

Young Adults
Plan Socials

The Young Adult Division of the
Jewish Federation has planned
two YAD "barnites" this summer
to appeal to young adults age 22-
35, single and married. The pro-
grams are hosted by the YAD
Outreach Committee.
The first will be held 8:30 p.m.
July 26 at the Lodge, 2442 Or-
chard lake Road, Sylvan Lake. A
second will be held 8:30 p.m. Aug.
30 at the Old Woodward Grill,
555 S. Woodward, Birmingham.
Throughout the year, YAD
conducts social, educational and
volunteer programs and partici-
pates in the Allied Jewish Cam-

Paign.

Jazz Party

The Leadership Network of B'nai
B'rith will host its second annu-
al All That Jazz party July 23 at
8:30 p.m. at the Village Green
