degree requirements.

Hebrew University of
Jerusalem will begin a new pro-
gram of studies next fall lead-

ISRAEL has announced plans
to sell 51 percent of El Al, its na-
tional airline, in public stock of-
ferings at home and abroad.
The sale will take place after the
carrier is taken out of a 13-year
receivership in October.
Transportation Minister Yis-
rael Kessar said Israel will keep
a "golden share" in El Al. That is
a single share which has veto
power in stockholder elections.
The Israel government's priva-
tization committee will decide
what will happen with the re-
maining 49 percent of the airline.
